How it works

A straightforward start, in four steps.

No long onboarding process and no runaround. We start with a conversation, I look at what you actually have, and we go from there.

Step 1

Let's talk

We'll discuss your business, your current bookkeeping setup, and the type of support you need.

Step 2

Review your books

I'll review your existing setup and identify any missing information, discrepancies, or cleanup needed.

Step 3

Get everything organized

If cleanup or catch-up work is needed, we'll bring the books up to date and establish a clean starting point.

Step 4

Keep your books up to date

We settle on a schedule that suits you — monthly, quarterly, or annual — and accounts are reconciled and reviewed each cycle.

CPA-ready books

However far behind you are, your books can still be made ready.

Months behind is common. Years behind is more common than most business owners think. It usually isn't carelessness — it's a busy season that never ended, a software switch that went sideways, or a bookkeeper who left mid-year.

Whatever the reason, the way forward is the same: go back through the prior periods, reconcile them properly, correct what's wrong, and investigate the balances that don't make sense.

The result is a set of financial records your CPA or tax preparer can actually work from — organized, reconciled, and reviewed, with the questions already answered instead of landing in their inbox at the deadline.

My approach

Reconciled does not always mean correct.

I don't just reconcile accounts. I review the underlying activity and Balance Sheet accounts, investigate anything that doesn't look right, and make sure your books are clean, accurate, and ready for review.

A bank balance can match perfectly while duplicate transactions, misclassified expenses, unusual balances, or unreconciled credit cards sit quietly underneath. Those issues don't fix themselves — they carry forward, month after month.

When something doesn't make sense, I investigate it. If I need more information, I ask you rather than making an assumption.

Services

Bookkeeping support built around where your books are today.

Some businesses need a steady bookkeeping cycle — monthly, quarterly, or annual. Others have fallen behind, or aren't sure their existing records are accurate. Lana Bookkeeping handles both.

Ongoing

Ongoing Bookkeeping

MonthlyQuarterlySemi-annualAnnual

Keep your financial records accurate, organized, and up to date — without managing the bookkeeping yourself. Some businesses need a monthly cycle; others are well served quarterly or once a year. Whatever the schedule, accounts are reviewed each cycle, so potential issues get caught and addressed instead of carried forward.

Financial Review & Reporting

Good bookkeeping is more than entering transactions. I review the financial activity behind the reports and look for balances or transactions that don't make sense — so the numbers you're reading actually reflect your business.

The goal: clear, organized financial information you can actually use to understand your business.
